I just saw a segment in both the national and local news talking about wine and Alzheimer's. In the news segment it talked about how researchers are seeing that one to two glasses of wine a day can help fight the onset of Alzheimer's disease.
It stated that drinking more then two glasses is not beneficial and in fact can be harmful.
Scientists have discovered the mechanism behind how compounds in red wine called polyphenols slow the cognitive declines of Alzheimer's. Resveratrol is a polyphenol.
There is a study that says to drink a glass of red wine and along with a resveratrol supplement.
